The Jealous Needs You portfolio is back and continues to grow, deemed by our Arts Editor as (arguably) London’s best producers of contemporary art prints, JNY promises domestic art lovers and newcomers alike a collection to fulfil all tastes and budgets.
The project was established in 2011 and headed by illustrator and Jealous printmaker Jess Wilson – with an open call for submissions, JNY encouraged artists from all levels of experience and backgrounds to submit a body of work with a design purpose for careful selection by the Jealous team. The chosen submissions all then go on to be produced as 2 or 3 colour limited edition screen-prints, all 50 x 50cm.
This year, Jealous Print Studio sees the production of some of their boldest and most diverse screen-prints. The new JNY portfolio includes over 40 artists, designers and illustrators including a mix of established names such as Marion Deuchars, Carl Cashman, Rose Blake and Holly Wells, as well as a range of international talent from the USA with Aaron Jupin and Tyler Spangler, and Massagon from Japan — all ascertained to leave their stamp on the ever growing vibrant collection.
The full range of Jealous Needs You works will be on display in the new Shoreditch gallery space in a specially dedicated exhibition until15th March, followed by a second exhibition at the Jealous Crouch End space from 18th March – 12th April.
All of the prints will be available to purchase at an unquestionably appealing £75 each.
The Private Viewing takes place on 26th February from 6.30pm – 9.30pm
