After Nyne @ #LFW15: 60’s Throwbacks and the Baby That DIDN’T Cry on the Runway at FELDER FELDER

So DAY 1 of London Fashion Week AW15 and our first show of the day was Felder Felder!

As far as Fridays go they tend to be pretty quiet and Felder Felder certainly didn’t fail to impress with their sex, glam, & politics 60’s throwback inspired by sexual revolutionary icon Uschi Obermaier.

Uschi was in way before John & Yoko took to their New York bed, and as such her groupies were really quite something. This included Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards, & Mick Jagger who all flocked to Berlin to chill with the epitome of glam-rock.

This season the Felder Felder muse is harder-edged, glamorous, she is knowing and defiant. She operates well outside the system of fear that encourages the banal.”

The collection brought back signiture flappy skirts, lazer cut faux leathers, tight little boot-cut jeans & the most incredible (and biggest) astrakhan boyfriend coats I have ever seen.

In terms of guests it was pretty impressive, and what was even nicer than sharing a runway with Millie Mackintosh was the fact everyone got a seat! (because, who doesn’t hate standing at a catwalk). To top it off Daniella Felder brought out the cutttteesst baby, that despite the latest trend set by North West didn’t scream out the runway – respect to that!

Felder Felder has truly reinvented the 60’s trend without creating a costume collection and for that they deserve a round of applause.

For Uschi, Das Private ist politischi! Party On.

We’ll be reporting from Somerset House (in our boot-cut jeans) tomorrow bringing you the latest from Orla Kiely, Danielle Romeril, Soojin Lee & Much More – keep your eyes peeled!
