The sumptuous rococo surroundings of the Wallace Collection throbbed last night to the beat of the London College of Fashion’s MA15 Womenswear showcase.
After Nyne were catwalk side, the show was slick..as to be expected when it’s produced by Bacchus, supported by Shu Uemura and impeccably made-up by the M.A.C Pro Team.
It’s possible that there was a slight reticence in the execution of some of the ensembles but bold touches were noted. Qiwen Wu‘s shoulder belt, the ruffle back of Mushroom Song‘s cape and a spattering of burgundy across several designers that showed just how chic that oft-overlooked colour can be.
Singled out for special attention were Miao Ho‘s manly, Edwardian-themed tailoring, Kelly Cho‘s stylish/sleazy Night Porter-themed use patent leather and Scottacus Anthony, carrying through the bold use of orange seen at New York Fashion Week.
