An elegant all-day dining concept will arrive in Parsons Green that looks set to become the neighbourhood’s new gem of choice. Bistrò by Shot will offer seasonal dishes with a French-Italian twist, using ingredients sourced predominantly from independent local suppliers.
From the team behind popular café and bar, Shot Espresso, and the recently launched pizza and ice cream joint, Ice&Slice, Bistrò by Shot will be headed up by talented Head Chef Fabrice Meier, formerly of Trinity, The Wild Game Company and One-O-One Knightsbridge. The menu will evolve naturally, dictated by the seasons, and bring home-style cooking to an informal and stylish setting.
Bistrò by Shot will offer all-day dining with breakfast classics such as Eggs Benedict, French Toast and Corn Fritters, a more extensive brunch menu served on Saturdays and a roast on Sundays.
Healthier alternatives will include a range of superfood-inspired smoothies and juices created in conjunction with local Beyond Health physiotherapy clinic who have worked with clients such as British Number One tennis player, Andy Murray.
Drinks will include Recovery, a rejuvenating blend of Pear, Banana, Spinach, Yogurt, Almond Milk and Walnuts and Strong as an Ox, a zingy blend of Apple, Ginger, Mint and Berries.
The reasonably priced set lunch menu features delicious starters such as; Carabaccia (Tuscan Onion Soup), Salad of Shaved Carrots, Mesclun and Sesame Seeds and Quail Leg with Orzo Pasta and Parmesan.
Fabrice has taken classic European dishes and updated them skillfully with mains such as; Mussels Cooked in White Wine with Smoked Panchetta and Guinea Fowl Leg Ballotine with Carrot Purée and Nasturgium.
The dinner menu will also showcase seasonal ingredients with starters including: Cucumber Cannelloni of Dorset Crab, Avocado Mousse and Soy Gel and Beef Tartare with Duck Fat Chips
Bistrò by Shot’s stylish décor was devised and implemented by Charlie Borthwick of the local Parsons Green interior design company, Cue Design. Light and airy, it features oak parquetry floors that run up to partially line the walls and the bar, bespoke tables, chairs, lanterns and shelving fashioned from salvaged timbers and Corian.
There will also be a charming outside area with heating and a retractable roof. The 40-cover venue will make guests feel relaxed from the moment they enter and give a real sense of being a ‘home away from home’. The interior and lighting of Bistrò by Shot are adaptable, enabling a startling transformation from casual, relaxing brunch and lunch spot by day into an intimate and elegant evening space by night.
Bistrò’s bar menu will feature an evolution of sister bar Shot Espresso’s aperitivo concept in the form of small sharing plates such as charcuterie, fritto misto, and seasonal specials like oysters.
The venue’s diverse wine and spirits list has been expertly assembled in partnership with award-winning independent Fulham wine shop, Vagabond, with high quality and reasonably priced wines that compliment the menu alongside classic cocktails and aperitifs.
