Spring is in the air, quite literally, at Sky Pod – the seasonally-changing cocktail bar 35 floors up at Sky Garden – with the launch of its Eccentric English Country Garden pop-up and the beginning of its live music schedule Sky-High Sessions.
Arguably the most talked-about opening of 2015 so far and now ready for the sunnier season ahead courtesy of renowned “rhubarb”, Sky Pod has shed its winter coat and blossomed for spring. Level 35 has been transformed into an Eccentric English Country Garden complete with sunshine-yellow daffodils, lush green faux lawns, brightly-coloured vintage bicycles and pops of lime and lemon.
New cocktails are similarly zesty with a collection of refreshing sips to savour such as Rooibos Tea Party (Bloom Gin, DOM Bénédictine, rooibos tea, lime juice, orange zest) and Pink Is The Question (Cîroc Vodka, green apple liqueur, fresh blueberries, lime juice), all £11.50.
Sky Pod will also be introducing Sky-High Sessions to the bar from Friday, 17th April with live band and DJ nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights featuring some of the hottest musical talent on the circuit from sunset through to late-night.
So pull up a pew and watch one of the city’s best sunsets, drink in-hand.
