For guests longing to lounge around Limehouse or seeking some rays south of the river, stop by two of Gordon Ramsay Group’s newest terraces for al fresco dining this summer at The Narrow on the banks of the Thames and London House overlooking Battersea Square.
London House’s New Look
Taking inspiration from nearby Battersea Park, London House – SW’s standout neighbourhood restaurant overlooking Battersea Square – unveils a brand new al fresco courtyard. The terrace offers a summertime oasis filled with blooming florals, lush plants and aromatic herbs in every shade of green – from hanging ivy to lemon trees and potted flowering plants to garden herbs.
The rustic courtyard is designed in a palette of warm greys, crisp white and a pop of colour from the ochre tile-topped snug – perfect for shelter from the sun. Seating is luxe wicker tables strewn with designer, mismatched cushions alongside bar-style high stools. Kick back with friends all afternoon over a round of Bombay Sapphire cocktails and toast as you top up your Vitamin D levels whilst tucking into Head Chef Anna Haugh’s fabulous feast, which includes cucumber and dill gazpacho with fennel seed lavash; sea trout and coriander seed gravlax, desiree skin tuilles; and potted Cornish crab, avocado and sea purslane.

Anchor up at The Narrow
Boasting panoramic views across the Thames, take in the picturesque City vista at The Narrow’s newly updated al fresco terrace. Surrounded by white picket fencing and lush greenery, take a seat on the comfortable wicker sofas – with cosy cotton cushions in warm grey and royal blue – under one of the large parasols while tucking into dishes from the brand new BBQ station, offering the freshest grilled seafood and other BBQ classics.
The Narrow also boasts a light, airy conservatory – an ideal spot to enjoy Head Chef Gerald Mirey’s British, seasonal menu including dishes of halloumi with roasted peppers, grilled seafood and fresh gourmet British beef burgers. The former dockmaster’s house on the northern banks of the river will be the perfect spot to watch the sunset with your one and only over a bottle of rich Malbec or a weekend riverside retreat to catch up with friends over a roast and a few rounds.
